"God is in control." Have you heard that said by others, or even preached? or "If God is really in control, he has things in a real mess." We are going to look at some scriptures from the Word of God today. They will bring more clarity to this religious statement.
Turn your bibles to Hebrews 2: 7-8 amplified, 'For some little time You (God) ranked him (man) lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands. For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left nothing outside (of man's) control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him.' The word is saying here, that the authority (dominion) over the earth really belongs to us. Turn to Genesis 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." Dominion means to prevail against, reign (make to) rule over, take. God made the earth and told Adam (mankind) to take care of it. Adam then committed high treason, and gave that place of authority to Satan in Genesis 3. That transfer of dominion is confirmed in 2 Corinthians 4:4 where it says, 'In whom the god of this world (satan) has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.' In the beginning God gave dominion of the earth to Adam, and Adam disobeyed and gave that position to the devil. Through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, that place of Dominion was restored back to man. Matthew 16:19 [amp.] Jesus says, "I will give you [believers] the keys of the kingdom of Heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven." Our restoration of authority is described in Ephesians 1:19-23. It gives a great description of what happened for us in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus is the head and believers are His body. We have the same authority, that Adam did; before he fell. Glory to God! So do not blame God for what is happening in the world. Also do not be passive and say, "God has some mysterious reason, why things are the way they are." Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit therof." You can speak God's Word, boldly in faith; and your circumstances will change. Then God can do miracles for You! This is a "Heavenly Partnership" and is the best relationship. Now if you still believe that God is in control, then think of it this way. Who is in control of Heaven?......God. How is Heaven operating?.......perfect, prospering, paradise. How is the world operating?..... it's a mess. Then it cannot be God in control. In Matthew 6:10 Jesus prayed, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." This should be our prayer also. Step out in this truth today.
