In Mark 16:15 Jesus said to the disciplies to "Go". Not to stand still and do nothing. Acts 8:4 says, 'Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the Word.' Even in persecution, God's people continued to preach the good news. In the parable of the sower in Mark 4. The seed is the 'Word of God'. In Mark 4:14 Jesus said, "The sower sows the word." The act of sowing is an act of scattering. Go and scatter the Word is what the spirit of God is saying. Just going to church on Sunday, is not scattering. One can scatter themselves or help send others to sow the Word.

Why are compelled to scatter? There is always a gathering of what is sowed. In Mark 4:8 Jesus said"And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprung up and increased; and bought forth, some thirty, and some sixty; and some one hundred." Psalms 102:22 says, 'When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.' In John 4:36 Jesus said, "He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together."

This pattern of scattering, always results in a joyous gathering. 1Thessalonins 4:14-17 says, ' For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.' The eternal gathering in the air, with the Lord forever! Amen! Glory to God!

If you are led to scatter and sow the Word of God, don't hesitate and Go!
So there will be a great gathering, for all time!]]>
<![CDATA[TAKING DOMINION DAILY]]>Thu, 30 May 2024 18:54:06 GMThttp://kingsandpriestsbibleblog.org/blog/taking-dominion-dailyAs men we have a place of authority in God, that is given to us to rule and reign in this life. We must step in and fill that place. Then the Holy Spirit can bring the manifestation of God's goodness into our lives and areas of influence. Just like climbing a ladder, we have to take the first step. This will be our focus today, 'First things first.' We find the first step in Isaiah 26:9 that says, 'With my soul have I desired You (O Lord) in the night; yes, with my spirit within me will I seek You early.'

How the day is started makes all the difference in what direction your day will go. Jesus is our example, so lets look at Mark 1:35 that says, 'And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.' Rising early to pray was of high priority to Jesus. Then this should also be a high priority for us. In Genesis we learned that God gave man dominion and authority over the earth. When we stand in that place of authority and speak in faith, then all circumstances have to obey what we say. Mark 11:23 [amp.] says, 'Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.' We can rise up early to pray and declare blessing over ourself, family, business, nation.. etc. We are saying to the spiritual and the natural realms that Jesus is Lord over me and mine today.

Let me describe what I am saying this way. Imagine a city that has a wall around it, and a large plain of land surrounding the city. The city represents your life, the wall is your protection from the evil one. When you rise up early to pray, you walk out of the city with the armor of God on (Ephesians 6:13-17), out in to the plain of life. You make your declaration of faith, of how the day will go according to Romans 4:17 by , '...... call[ing] those things which be not as though they were.' You let the devil know that he is under your feet. In Luke 10:19 Jesus says, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." The enemy tries to move in from the plain to hang around the walls of your life unchecked. If you are distracted and unaware, the enemy can slide in through an opening in the wall of protection; using the world, others and sin to cause problems in your life. Rising up early to pray keeps the enemy out in the plain, while you stand in your God-given authority in Christ.

I am not talking about some fictional battle strategy. This comes from personal experience, over and over again. We are called in Romans 5:17 [amp.] to, '... reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).' A king rules and reigns over what is his territory, so must we. Dominion and authority is available for every born again child of God. Unless we step up into that place of authority and declare the truth of God's word; we can become subject to what should be under our feet. Arise and meet the devil in the plain, instead of letting him sit on your couch and relax. A ten minute devotional and a short distracted prayer is not going to do it. A blessed, victorious day, is so much better than struggling and being frustrated. I challenge all men of God, to take their God given dominion today!

Rise up early. Pray. Declare. Walk in victory!
Give God all the Praise, Amen!

<![CDATA[God's Armor]]>Mon, 12 Feb 2024 20:58:57 GMThttp://kingsandpriestsbibleblog.org/blog/gods-armorThere is a protective outfit that soldiers wear in a battle called armor. We have an adversary in the battle of life and God has prepared armor for us; but we have to put this armor on. As we put on God's armor by faith, we cannot lose in life. Ephesians 6:10-17 gives a look at this armor we are to put on to walk victoriously. What benefit is this spiritual suit of armor? Ephesians 6:10-11 says, 'Finally, my brethern, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.' So putting on the armor of God is how you stay strong in the Lord, and how to stand against the strategies of the devil. In the world, they say "Dress for success." Men of God, let's suit up into God's armor. We need to put it on every day to walk in success.

Ephesians 6:13-14 says, 'Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;' We are standing on the truth of the Word of God. We plant the truth in our hearts by meditating, confessing, obeying and believing God's Word. When we conform our life to the truth, then we can have what we say according to Mark 11:23. The belt of truth keeps us balanced and steady. This causes Godly character to rise up in us and be seen by others around us. The breastplate of righteousness is a revelation of who we are in Christ through His blood sacrifice. We are able to have right standing with God without the sense of guilt or condemnation. Second Corinthians 5:21 says, 'For He has made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who know no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.'

Ephesians 6:15 says, 'And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;' This peace gives great direction and sure footing when everything else is shaking. 'All of wisdom's paths are peace' (Proverbs 3:17b). When you follow the peace of God, you will make wise decisions. The devil likes to get us in a hurry to steal our peace. As we walk in peace, God is seen in us.

Ephesians 6:16 says, 'Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.' The devil and the world are firing at us over and over again. So there is great advantage to having your shield of faith up. The enemy is after one thing, and that is your faith. Second Corinthians 5:17 says, 'For we walk by faith, not by sight.' We have to use the shield of faith or life will be limited. When we call those things that be not as though they are (Romans 4:17). Then they shall be done. That is living! Remember Noah preached that a flood was coming and built a ark in a drought. The world thought he was crazy, but who was riding the waves of the flood. It does not matter what anyone else thinks or says about you.

Ephesians 6:17 says, 'And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:' Salvation means complete wholeness: spirit, soul and body. Nothing missing and nothing broken. When I am putting on my helmet of salvation, I like to meditate on 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, 'For God has not given us the Spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' Finally we are told to take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. This is the only offensive weapon in God's armor, the rest are defensive. Hebrews 4:12 says, 'For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.' The sword of the Spirit cuts the devil and spoils his plan against you. The sword of the Spirit also changes us from the inside out. Faith and obedience will help you in using your sword effectively. Now having put on the whole armor of God, we are ready to stand and take dominion today and every day, in Jesus name!

Put on God's armor, keep the devil under your feet.
Praise God for the victory.
<![CDATA[Spirit, soul and body (part 3)]]>Tue, 14 Nov 2023 22:04:56 GMThttp://kingsandpriestsbibleblog.org/blog/spirit-soul-and-body-part-3We are going to wrap up our study on the three fold nature of man. Remember the main truth: you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. In this blog we will focus on the physical body, the third part of man. The voice of the body (or flesh) is the feelings or emotions. The word of God is very clear that there is something we have to do with the body, not God. Romans 12:1 says, 'I beseech you therefore, brethern, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.' So we have a job to do if we want God's best in our life. Men it is time to stand and take dominion over your body.

First Corinthians 6:19-20 [amp.] says, 'Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were brought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.' We cannot take the attitude of , "It is my body, and I can do whatever I want with it;" or "I am not hurting anyone else, so what does it matter." As a born again believer the fear and reverence of God should be your mind set. Jesus was crucified, not you. Jesus went to hell so you can be redeemed by His blood. We are not our own. This means a believer cannot see, hear, speak or do what the unbeliever does with his body. You may be thinking, this sounds like a holiness message, or more do's and dont's. No it is the word of God. Romans 8:13 says, 'For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.' Stay with me now.

First Corinthians 9:27 says, 'But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection; lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.' The Apostle Paul is talking about his spirit, dominating his flesh, through his renewed mind. The attitude towards the flesh has to be very strong, even violent. I do not want to tell you what you can or cannot do. You will have to work this out one-on-one with God. It is hard to say no and walk away from the desires of your flesh, especially when it comes to controlling the tongue. The main reason to keep the body under is so that our witness for Christ is powerful. The world will watch you a whole lot closer than it will listen to you.

Galatians 5:16 says, 'This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh' The definition of walking in the spirit, is simply being a doer of the Word of God. This is a consistent obedient walk with God daily. Every time you resist the flesh you get stronger. In time you learn how to let your spirit dominate. The question on the table is, how much of the goodness of God do you want. God is fair and just. Why let this "earth suit" keep us from experienceing the glory and benefits in Christ now. We are not natural, having a spiritual experience. We are a spirit having a natural experience. Glorify God in your body everyday.

Say, "I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body."
Praise God forevermore!
<![CDATA[Spirit, soul and body part (2)]]>Mon, 18 Sep 2023 17:13:04 GMThttp://kingsandpriestsbibleblog.org/blog/spirit-soul-and-body-part-2We are going to continue our study of the three fold nature of man. Remember our confession, "I am a spirit, I have a soul and I live in a body." The soul is the gate between the spirit and the body. We are often taught the soul of man is the real man; and that the soul and spirit are the same thing. The truth is God is a spirit, and He contacts us by our spirit only. Say with me now, "I receive understanding and revelation about my spirit and soul in Jesus name."

The soul is the gate between your spirit and your body. Hebrews 4:12 says, 'For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.' This verse tells us that the soul and the spirit can be divided, so they can not be the same thing. Kenneth E. Hagin writes, "The voice of the spirit is the conscience, the voice of the soul is the intellect." The soul is our mental realm and consists of our mind, our will and our emotions. This is where our intellect, will and feeling reside. The truth is God is a spirit, and He contacts us by our spirit only. The Holy Spirit tells our spirit what to do, and then our spirit reveals that to our mind. Although God does not contact us through our souls, we still need our mind to read, understand and share God's Word with others.

You may have heard it said that many souls were saved last year; but scripturaly, we should say, many were born again last year. The new birth happens only in our spirit. The soul is not changed at all with the New Birth experience. For instance, many believe mentally that Jesus is the son of God, yet their spirit has not been born again. They still have the same fallen nature, and continue to live as sinners without God in this world. Ephesians 2:12 says, 'That at that time we were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.' But when you believe from the heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, you receive the nature of God in your spirit. Then there is an inner change that can be seen on the outside. First John 3:14 says, 'We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.'

Remember our soul, or mental realm, does not change with being born again. God gives us the responsibility of renewing or changing our own souls. Romans 12:2 says, 'And be not conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God' We are going to have to choose to renew our minds. Our mind, a part of our soul, makes decisions based on our senses, environment, training and experiences. Now as a born again believers, 'we walk by faith and not by sight' (2 Corinthians 5:7). We can no longer be guided only by our physical senses and past experiences. We must learn to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our spirit. We renew our own mind through studying, mediating and obeying the word of God. Why do all that? So you will know what the will of God is about every situation and detail of your life. As you obey God's will, the blessings follow. The renewing of the mind is a life long process. You can enjoy more of the goodness of God, by how diligent you are in the renewing of your mind.

With a renewed mind to God's Word and a born again spirit, the body is under control. When a Christian's mind is un-renewed, the carnal or un-renewed mind along with the flesh, dominate that person's born again spirit. Romans 8:6 says, 'For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.' I do not know about you, but I am taking life and peace. I have heard it said like this, "You pursue your mind set!" Where ever you set your mind, is where you will go. If you think negative, you will speak negative, and then you will experience negative circumstances. But if you think God's Word, you will speak His Word, and you have what it says: life and peace. The sooner we get working on the renewing of our mind, the more life and peace we will enjoy!

Keep the soul gate open to God and closed to the enemy of our soul.
